AJA Video Systems has announced support for Apple’s new Mac Pro line of Intel-based professional desktop computers.
AJA’s Io, IoLA and IoLD providing uncompressed video over Firewire for Apple’s Final Cut Studio now have Universal Binary software to work with any of the Mac Pro configurations. And, new v3 software for the PCIe based KONA video cards from AJA – including the Kona 3, Kona LHe and Kona Lse – offer Mac Pro support. Meanwhile, AJA continues to support previous generation Power Mac G5 systems.
“We’ve been working on Universal Binary support for over a year and we’re pleased to ship our Kona v3 software right on the heels of Apple’s first customer shipment of the Mac Pro,” said Nick Rashby, AJA’s director of sales and marketing.
AJA offers uncompressed QuickTime, SD, HD, 2K and Dual Link HD via the Kona 3. Kona LHe supports SD, HD and analogue only; and Kona Lse supports SD and analogue only.
